Larry Ellison

Lawrence Joseph “Larry” Ellison (born August 17, 1944) is an American businessman best known as the co-founder of Oracle Corporation. Raised in Chicago, he later moved to California and worked in the computer industry before helping found Oracle in 1977. Ellison served for decades as Oracle’s chief executive, overseeing the company’s growth into a major enterprise software and database provider. He later became Oracle’s executive chairman and chief technology officer. Ellison is also known for high-profile interests outside technology, including competitive sailing and major real-estate purchases. He has been widely reported as one of the world’s wealthiest individuals.
