Tony Hsieh

Tony Hsieh (1973–2020) was an American entrepreneur and author best known for leading the online retailer Zappos. He joined the company in 2000 and served as CEO, helping build its reputation for customer service and company culture. In 2009, Amazon acquired Zappos, and Hsieh continued to run the business under Amazon’s ownership. He also co-founded the advertising network LinkExchange, which was acquired by Microsoft in 1998. Hsieh wrote the book *Delivering Happiness*, which recounts his career and his approach to business, culture, and customer experience. He died in 2020.
