Aaron Brown

Aaron Brown was born in Hopkins, Minnesota in 1948. Brown started his broadcasting career as a radio talk show host in Minneapolis. Brown spent more than 15 years as a TV broadcaster in Seattle, and in the 1990s, he moved to New York to anchor World News Now, later working for World News Tonight and Nightline. Brown’s first on-air broadcast for CNN was September 11, 2001, and he rose to national prominence for his coverage of the terrorist attacks of that day. Post-9/11, Brown covered various other news events for CNN, including an Emmy-winning report about the Iraq War. Brown is currently the anchor of the PBS series Wide Angle.
