Al Roker

Al Roker (Albert Lincoln Roker Jr., born August 20, 1954) is an American television weather presenter, journalist, and author. He is best known as the longtime weather anchor on NBC’s *Today*, where he has delivered forecasts and reported on major weather events and national stories. Roker joined NBC News in 1978 and became *Today*’s weather anchor in 1996. He has also hosted and appeared in a range of television programs and specials for NBC and The Weather Channel. In addition to broadcasting, he has written multiple books, including nonfiction and cookbooks, and is recognized for his work in public-facing science communication.
