Alfred Hitchcock

Alfred Hitchcock (1899–1980) was a British film director and producer, celebrated for his influential thrillers and often dubbed the “Master of Suspense.” Born in London, he began his career in the British film industry before moving to Hollywood, where he became one of cinema’s most recognizable auteurs. Hitchcock’s work is known for meticulous visual storytelling, psychological tension, and inventive set pieces. Among his best-known films are *Rear Window* (1954), *Vertigo* (1958), *North by Northwest* (1959), and *Psycho* (1960). He also hosted and produced the television anthology series *Alfred Hitchcock Presents* (1955–1965).
