Alice Sebold (born 1963) is an American novelist and memoirist. She is best known for her memoir *Lucky* (1999) and her novel *The Lovely Bones* (2002). *Lucky* recounts her experience of sexual assault and its aftermath. *The Lovely Bones*, narrated by a murdered teenage girl, became an international bestseller and was adapted into a feature film released in 2009. Sebold later published the novel *The Almost Moon* (2007). She has also written essays and contributed to literary publications.
