Andrew Lloyd Webber

Andrew Lloyd Webber (born March 22, 1948) is an English composer and theatre impresario whose musicals have become defining works of modern musical theatre. He wrote the music for landmark stage productions including *Jesus Christ Superstar*, *Evita*, *Cats*, and *The Phantom of the Opera*, many of which have enjoyed long-running West End and Broadway success and have been adapted for film and other media. Lloyd Webber co-founded the Really Useful Group to manage and produce his work and has been a major force in commercial theatre production. He was created a life peer as Baron Lloyd-Webber.
