Antonio Hurtado de Mendoza (c. 1586–1644) was a Spanish dramatist and poet of the Siglo de Oro. Active in Madrid’s courtly literary world, he wrote comedias and occasional verse shaped by Baroque taste and the culture of royal spectacle. He moved in circles associated with leading playwrights of the period, including Pedro Calderón de la Barca, and took part in collaborative theatrical projects typical of the era.
