Audrey Hepburn
Audrey Hepburn (1929–1993) was a British-born actress and humanitarian. Born in Ixelles, Brussels, she spent part of her childhood in the Netherlands during World War II and later trained in ballet. Hepburn rose to international fame with her Academy Award–winning performance in *Roman Holiday* (1953) and became a defining screen presence in films including *Sabrina* (1954), *Funny Face* (1957), *Breakfast at Tiffany’s* (1961), and *My Fair Lady* (1964). In the late 1980s she devoted much of her life to humanitarian work with UNICEF, serving as a Goodwill Ambassador and traveling on field missions.
