Axel Rose

Axl Rose (born William Bruce Rose Jr.; February 6, 1962) is an American singer-songwriter best known as the lead vocalist of the hard rock band Guns N’ Roses. Formed in Los Angeles in 1985, the group rose to international fame with its debut album *Appetite for Destruction* (1987), featuring songs such as “Welcome to the Jungle,” “Sweet Child o’ Mine,” and “Paradise City.” Rose is known for his wide vocal range and a distinctive stage presence. He also fronted Guns N’ Roses on the albums *Use Your Illusion I* and *Use Your Illusion II* (1991). “Axl” is sometimes misspelled as “Axel.”
