Ayelet Waldman

Ayelet Waldman (born 1964) is an Israeli-born Canadian-American novelist, essayist, and attorney. She is known for fiction and nonfiction that explore family life, marriage, and moral complexity. Waldman wrote the memoir *Bad Mother*, a candid account of parenting and identity, and the novel *Love and Other Impossible Pursuits*, which follows a woman navigating grief, stepmotherhood, and the aftermath of an affair. She has also written the *Mommy-Track Mystery* series and the nonfiction book *A Really Good Day*, about her experience with microdosing LSD. Waldman is married to novelist Michael Chabon and lives in the United States.
