Barack Obama

Barack Hussein Obama II (born August 4, 1961) is an American politician and author who served as the 44th President of the United States from 2009 to 2017. Before the presidency, he represented Illinois in the U.S. Senate (2005–2008) and served in the Illinois State Senate (1997–2004). A graduate of Columbia University and Harvard Law School, he was president of the Harvard Law Review and later taught constitutional law at the University of Chicago. Obama is known for his memoirs *Dreams from My Father* (1995) and *A Promised Land* (2020).
