Barry Schwartz

Barry Schwartz (born 1946) is an American psychologist and professor emeritus at Swarthmore College. He is known for research on decision-making, behavioral economics, and the psychology of choice, examining how an abundance of options can affect satisfaction and well-being. Schwartz brought these ideas to a wide audience in his book *The Paradox of Choice*, which argues that more choice is not always better and can lead to anxiety, regret, and reduced happiness.
