Barry White

Barry White (1944–2003) was an American singer-songwriter, record producer, and composer celebrated for his deep baritone voice and lush romantic sound. Born in Galveston, Texas, and raised in Los Angeles, he began his career in the 1960s as a songwriter and producer. White rose to international fame in the 1970s with orchestral soul and disco recordings, including “I’m Gonna Love You Just a Little More Baby,” “Never, Never Gonna Give You Up,” and “Can’t Get Enough of Your Love, Babe.” He also led the Love Unlimited Orchestra, scoring the instrumental hit “Love’s Theme.” White won two Grammy Awards and remained an influential figure in R&B and pop.
