Benjamin Zander

Benjamin Zander (born 1939) is an English-born conductor, music educator, and speaker known for his work in the United States. He has served as music director of the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra and is recognized for his energetic advocacy of classical music and music education. Zander has taught at the New England Conservatory of Music and is widely associated with presentations that connect musical interpretation with leadership and personal development. With psychotherapist Rosamund Stone Zander, he co-authored *The Art of Possibility*, a book that applies principles drawn from music-making to creativity, communication, and organizational change.
