Bill Clinton

William Jefferson “Bill” Clinton (born 1946) is an American politician who served as the 42nd President of the United States (1993–2001). A member of the Democratic Party, he was previously Governor of Arkansas (1979–1981; 1983–1992) and Arkansas Attorney General (1977–1979). Clinton was born in Hope, Arkansas, and studied at Georgetown University, the University of Oxford, and Yale Law School. As president, he signed the North American Free Trade Agreement and the 1994 crime bill, and his administration oversaw a period of economic expansion. He is also an author and co-author of books, including the memoir *My Life* (2004).
