Bill Maher

Bill Maher (born January 20, 1956) is an American comedian, political commentator, television host, and author. He began performing stand-up comedy in the late 1970s and later gained national attention as the host of the political talk show *Politically Incorrect* (1993–2002). Since 2003, he has hosted HBO’s *Real Time with Bill Maher*, a weekly program combining monologue, interviews, and panel discussion focused on politics and current events. Maher is known for his secular viewpoints and outspoken critiques of religion and political ideology. He has also written several books and released multiple comedy specials.
