Bill Nighy

Bill Nighy (born 12 December 1949) is an English actor known for distinctive performances across film, television, and theatre. He gained wide recognition as aging rocker Billy Mack in *Love Actually* (2003) and as Davy Jones in the *Pirates of the Caribbean* franchise. Nighy has also appeared in films including *Shaun of the Dead* (2004), *Underworld* (2003), and *The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel* (2011), and on television in *State of Play* (2003). His stage work includes roles with the National Theatre. In 2015 he was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE).
