Billy Graham

Billy Graham grew up on a farm in North Carolina. He became a born-again Christian in his teens and an evangelist in college. In 1943, Graham married Ruth Bell, with whom he would have five children. At age 30, he became president of the Northwestern Bible College in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Graham began his own ministry in 1947 and began conducting his famous “crusade” events. In 1950, he founded the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, whose ministries have included “Hour of Decision,” a weekly radio show broadcast internationally for more than 50 years. Graham has been retired since 2005 but continues to make occasional public appearances.
