Bo Jackson

Vincent Edward “Bo” Jackson (born November 30, 1962) is an American former professional athlete known for starring in both Major League Baseball and the National Football League. A standout at Auburn University, he won the Heisman Trophy in 1985. In the NFL, he played running back for the Los Angeles Raiders. In MLB, he played as an outfielder for the Kansas City Royals, Chicago White Sox, and California Angels. Jackson became a major pop-culture figure through Nike’s “Bo Knows” campaign. His elite career was curtailed after a serious hip injury suffered during an NFL playoff game in 1991.
