Bob Dylan

Robert Zimmerman, a.k.a. Bob Dylan, grew up in Minnesota, listening to blues, country, and early rock-and-roll on the radio. In high school, he formed several bands. Attending college in Minneapolis, Dylan became interested in folk music, dropped out, and moved to New York City to join the folk scene there. Dylan was eventually signed to Columbia Records and recorded his first album. By the time Dylan released his second and third albums in 1963, he had become a major figure in the folk and protest movements. In 1965, Dylan went electric. The following year, Dylan was in a motorcycle accident, after which he stopped touring for a number of years. A music legend, Dylan has released more than 35 studio albums.
