Bobby Heenan

Bobby Heenan (1944–2017) was an American professional wrestling manager, commentator, and occasional wrestler, widely known as “The Brain.” He became a prominent on-screen figure in the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE), where his sharp wit and villainous persona helped define the role of the manager during the 1980s and early 1990s. Heenan later worked for World Championship Wrestling (WCW), continuing as a high-profile color commentator. Celebrated for his comedic timing and quick improvisation, he influenced how wrestling commentary and character work were presented on television. Though not primarily a literary author, his memorable lines remain part of wrestling’s popular culture.
