Brian Cox

Brian Cox (born 1968) is an English physicist and science communicator. He is a professor of particle physics at the University of Manchester and a researcher with the ATLAS experiment at CERN. Cox is widely known for presenting science on television and radio, including the BBC series *Wonders of the Solar System*, *Wonders of the Universe*, and *Wonders of Life*, as well as co-presenting *The Infinite Monkey Cage*. He has also written popular science books, notably *Why Does E=mc²? (And Why Should We Care?)* and *The Quantum Universe* (both with Jeff Forshaw). Before his academic career, he played keyboards for the band D:Ream.
