Bruce Willis

Walter Bruce Willis (born March 19, 1955) is an American actor and producer best known for playing New York City police detective John McClane in the *Die Hard* film series. He first gained wide recognition as David Addison Jr. on the television series *Moonlighting* (1985–1989). Willis went on to star in major films including *Pulp Fiction* (1994), *12 Monkeys* (1995), *The Fifth Element* (1997), *Armageddon* (1998), and *The Sixth Sense* (1999). In 2022, his family announced he would step away from acting after being diagnosed with aphasia; in 2023, they reported a diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia. Willis is not primarily known as a literary author.
