Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, he grew up in St. Paul and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Schulz launched *Peanuts* in 1950; it ran until his death in 2000 and became one of the most widely read and influential comic strips in history. Through characters such as Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and Lucy, he blended humor with themes of insecurity, hope, and everyday resilience.
