Charlie Todd

Charlie Todd is an American comedian and the creator of Improv Everywhere, a New York City–based prank and performance collective known for staging large-scale, improvisational public actions. He founded Improv Everywhere in 2001 and has served as its leader and primary organizer, helping produce events that blend comedy, theater, and everyday life. Todd has written about the group’s work and its approach to “missions,” documenting how ordinary spaces can become stages for playful, surprising interactions. Through Improv Everywhere’s projects and videos, he has helped popularize participatory prank performance and inspired similar groups and flash-mob–style events around the world.
