Chaz Bono

Chaz Bono (born Chastity Sun Bono, March 4, 1969) is an American writer, actor, and LGBTQ+ activist. The child of entertainers Sonny Bono and Cher, he became widely known through public appearances with his family and later for his advocacy on transgender issues. Bono documented his transition and activism in the memoir *Transition: The Story of How I Became a Man* (2011) and has written on LGBTQ+ topics in other works. As an actor, he has appeared in film and television, including *Dancing with the Stars* and the series *American Horror Story: Roanoke*. He has also worked with LGBTQ+ organizations and spoken publicly about equality and visibility.
