Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie (born 1977) is a Nigerian novelist and essayist. Raised in Nsukka, Nigeria, she later studied in the United States, earning degrees from Eastern Connecticut State University and Johns Hopkins University, and an MFA from Yale University. Her debut novel, *Purple Hibiscus* (2003), was followed by *Half of a Yellow Sun* (2006), a widely acclaimed novel set during the Biafran War, and *Americanah* (2013), which explores race and migration. Adichie is also known for her essays and talks on feminism, including *We Should All Be Feminists* (2014).
