Chris Brown

Chris Brown (born May 5, 1989) is an American singer, songwriter, dancer, and actor. Raised in Tappahannock, Virginia, he signed with Jive Records as a teenager and broke through in 2005 with his self-titled debut album. Its lead single, “Run It!,” reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, establishing him as a major new R&B/pop presence. He followed with a string of commercially successful releases and crossover hits, including “Forever,” and became known for high-energy performances that blend singing with intricate choreography. Brown has also appeared in films, including “Stomp the Yard” and “This Christmas.”
