Chris Frantz

Chris Frantz (born May 8, 1951) is an American musician and songwriter best known as the drummer and a co-founding member of Talking Heads. With the band, he helped shape a distinctive blend of rock, art-pop, and new wave, contributing to a run of influential albums and acclaimed live performances. Frantz also co-founded Tom Tom Club, a side project formed with Talking Heads bassist Tina Weymouth, where he played drums and collaborated on songwriting and production. Beyond his work as a performer, he has been recognized for his role in the creative and rhythmic foundations of both groups, which remain widely cited in modern popular music.
