Christina Rossetti
Christina Georgina Rossetti (1830–1894) was an English Victorian poet closely associated with the Pre-Raphaelite circle through her family and artistic milieu. Born in London, she was the sister of poet and painter Dante Gabriel Rossetti and grew up in a literary household. Rossetti published lyric, devotional, and children’s poetry, noted for musical language and spiritual intensity. Her best-known works include the narrative poem *Goblin Market* (1862) and the sonnet “Remember” (first published in 1862). She also wrote *The Prince’s Progress* (1866) and the children’s collection *Sing-Song* (1872).
