Claire Danes

Claire Danes (born April 12, 1979) is an American actress. She gained early recognition starring as Angela Chase in the television series *My So-Called Life* (1994–1995). Danes expanded her film profile with roles including Juliet in Baz Luhrmann’s *Romeo + Juliet* (1996). She later returned to television as Carrie Mathison in the Showtime drama *Homeland* (2011–2020), a performance that earned her multiple major awards. Her other screen work includes films such as *Little Women* (1994), *Stardust* (2007), and *Temple Grandin* (2010). Danes has also appeared on stage, including Broadway productions.
