Dalia Mogahed

Dalia Mogahed is an American Muslim public opinion researcher and author known for her work analyzing attitudes in Muslim-majority societies. She served as executive director of the Gallup Center for Muslim Studies and co-authored, with John L. Esposito, *Who Speaks for Islam? What a Billion Muslims Really Think*, drawing on Gallup survey data to challenge common assumptions about Muslims worldwide. Mogahed has also served in U.S. government advisory roles, including as a member of President Barack Obama’s Advisory Council on Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships. Her writing and public speaking focus on religion, identity, and the social and political experiences of Muslim communities.
