Damon Horowitz

Damon Horowitz is an American computer scientist and philosopher who has worked in the technology industry and taught philosophy and ethics in Silicon Valley. He worked at Google, where he was involved with product efforts including Google Now. Horowitz has also been associated with initiatives focused on the social impact of technology, and is a co-founder of the Center for Humane Technology. His public work often explores how philosophical ideas—especially ethics—can inform the design and use of digital products. Through talks, teaching, and writing, he has argued for more humane, responsible technology that supports human well-being rather than undermining it.
