Daniel Libeskind

Daniel Libeskind (born 1946) is a Polish-American architect and architectural theorist associated with deconstructivist design. He is widely known for the Jewish Museum Berlin, a landmark project that helped establish his international reputation. Libeskind also created the master plan for the redevelopment of the World Trade Center site in New York City. His work often uses sharp geometries and symbolic references to history and memory, particularly in museums and cultural buildings. Through both built projects and writing, he has contributed to contemporary debates about architecture’s civic role and its capacity to express complex narratives in form and space.
