Dave Chappelle

Dave Chappelle (David Khari Webber Chappelle; born August 24, 1973) is an American stand-up comedian, actor, writer, and producer. He began performing comedy as a teenager and gained wider attention in the 1990s through film roles and stand-up appearances. Chappelle co-created and starred in the sketch-comedy series *Chappelle’s Show* (2003–2006), which became a major cultural touchstone. After stepping away from the spotlight, he returned to stand-up and released multiple specials, including a series of Netflix productions. His work has earned major industry recognition, including Emmy Awards and Grammy Awards, and he received the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor.
