David Blaine

David Blaine (born April 4, 1973) is an American illusionist, endurance artist, and television personality. Raised in Brooklyn, New York, he became known in the late 1990s for a street-magic style that emphasized close-up illusions performed for everyday people. His first television special, *David Blaine: Street Magic* (1997), helped popularize this approach. Blaine later gained wide attention for endurance-based public stunts, including being buried underground, encased in ice, suspended in a transparent box, and holding his breath underwater for an extended period. He has also presented multiple television specials and live performances featuring magic and endurance feats.
