David Lloyd George (1863–1945) was a British Liberal politician and statesman who served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1916 to 1922. Raised in Wales, he trained as a solicitor before entering Parliament in 1890 as MP for Caernarvon Boroughs. He became a leading reformer, serving as Chancellor of the Exchequer (1908–1915) and helping shape the “People’s Budget” and early welfare measures. During the First World War he rose to national leadership, heading a coalition government and representing Britain at the Paris Peace Conference. After leaving office he remained influential and wrote political works and memoirs.
