Dick Cheney

Richard B. Cheney (born January 30, 1941) is an American politician who served as the 46th Vice President of the United States from 2001 to 2009 under President George W. Bush. A Republican, he previously represented Wyoming in the U.S. House of Representatives (1979–1989) and served as U.S. Secretary of Defense (1989–1993) during the George H. W. Bush administration. Cheney was also White House Chief of Staff (1975–1977) under President Gerald Ford. He is frequently credited in print under the name “Dick Cheney” and has been associated with political memoirs and commentary on U.S. national security and foreign policy.
