Dolly Parton

Dolly Parton began her career as a child performer, experiencing breakout success as a performer on Porter Wagoner’s TV show in 1967 with the country hit single “The Last Thing on My Mind.” Some of Parton’s next big hits included the 1977 single “Here You Come Again” and “9 to 5” in 1981. Besides being a successful singer, Parton has composed more than 3,000 songs, including “Jolene” (1973) and “I Will Always Love You” (1974), which was famously covered by Whitney Houston in 1992. Parton is also an actress, starring in movies such as 9 to 5, Steel Magnolias, The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, and others.
