Don Meredith

Don Meredith (1938–2010) was an American professional football quarterback best known for leading the Dallas Cowboys during the 1960s. Nicknamed “Dandy Don,” he played in the National Football League and became one of the franchise’s early stars, earning Pro Bowl honors and helping establish the Cowboys as a prominent team. After retiring from football, Meredith built a second career in broadcasting, gaining wide recognition as a television sports commentator on Monday Night Football. He also appeared as an actor in film and television. Remembered for his charisma and showmanship, Meredith remained a familiar figure in American sports media long after his playing days ended.
