E. Stanley Jones

E. Stanley Jones (1884–1973) was an American Methodist missionary, theologian, and evangelist best known for his long service in India. He became a prominent Christian apologist and speaker, engaging Indian religious and intellectual audiences and emphasizing a Christ-centered faith presented in dialogue with local cultures. Jones wrote widely read devotional and evangelistic books, including *The Christ of the Indian Road* and *The Way*, which helped shape twentieth-century Protestant spirituality and missions. Through preaching, writing, and public addresses, he influenced Christian thought on evangelism, discipleship, and the communication of Christianity across cultural boundaries.
