Eckhart Tolle

Eckhart Tolle (born Ulrich Leonard Tölle, February 16, 1948) is a German-born spiritual teacher and author. He was born in Lünen, Germany, and later lived in England and Canada. Tolle is best known for *The Power of Now: A Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment* (1997), a book that emphasizes present-moment awareness, and *A New Earth: Awakening to Your Life’s Purpose* (2005). His work draws on a range of spiritual traditions while focusing on practical inner transformation. Tolle has also published other titles, including *Stillness Speaks* (2003) and *Practicing the Power of Now* (2001).
