Eda Leshan

Eda LeShan was born in 1922. She was a writer, TV host, educator, counselor, and playwright. LeShan was known for being a voice that advocated respect for children. Her husband was the American psychologist and writer Lawrence LeShan. Some of LeShan’s books included It’s Better to be Over the Hill than Under It, The Conspiracy Against Childhood, and When Your Child Drives You Crazy. These books have been translated into nine languages. She also hosted the TV show How Do Your Children Grow? which aired in the late 1970s on PBS. She died in 2002 at age 79.
