Emeril Lagasse

Emeril Lagasse (born October 15, 1959) is an American celebrity chef, restaurateur, cookbook author, and television personality. Raised in Fall River, Massachusetts, he trained at Johnson & Wales University and began his career in professional kitchens before gaining national attention in New Orleans. Lagasse became executive chef at Commander’s Palace and later opened his own restaurants, including Emeril’s in New Orleans. He rose to widespread fame through Food Network programs such as *Emeril Live* and *Essence of Emeril*, known for his energetic catchphrases and Creole- and Cajun-influenced cooking. He has authored numerous cookbooks and has been involved in philanthropic work, including youth-focused initiatives.
