Fulton Oursler

Fulton Oursler (1893–1952) was an American journalist and author best known for popular religious and inspirational writing. He served as a longtime editor of *Liberty* magazine, helping shape its widely read mix of reporting and general-interest features. Oursler wrote books that brought Christian themes to a broad audience, combining narrative drive with accessible commentary. His most famous work, *The Greatest Story Ever Told* (1949), retells the life of Jesus in a dramatic, novelistic style and became a major bestseller.
