Geoff Mulgan

Geoff Mulgan (born 1961) is a British social scientist and policy adviser known for his work on social innovation and public policy. He served as director of the UK Prime Minister’s Strategy Unit and worked in senior roles in the UK government, including at the Cabinet Office. Mulgan later became chief executive of Nesta (the UK’s innovation foundation), where he helped shape programmes supporting innovation for public benefit. He has also held academic and research positions and has written widely on how governments and institutions can design better policies and services. His work often focuses on practical methods for improving social outcomes through innovation, evidence, and collaboration.
