George Best

George Best (1946–2005) was a Northern Irish professional footballer, widely regarded as one of the most gifted players of his era. A dazzling winger and forward, he became a global star with Manchester United, helping the club win the First Division title in 1964–65 and 1966–67 and the European Cup in 1968. Best won the Ballon d’Or in 1968 and was celebrated for his dribbling, pace, and flair. He also played for clubs including Fulham and the Los Angeles Aztecs, and earned 37 caps for Northern Ireland. His fame extended beyond football into popular culture.
