Goldie Hawn

Goldie Hawn (born November 21, 1945) is an American actress and producer whose work spans film and television. She first gained wide recognition on the NBC sketch-comedy series *Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In* (1968–1970), winning an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for *Cactus Flower* (1969). Hawn went on to star in popular comedies including *Private Benjamin* (1980), *Overboard* (1987), and *The First Wives Club* (1996), and she has produced projects through her company, Cosmic Entertainment. Though primarily known as a screen performer, she is also a memoirist, authoring *A Lotus Grows in the Mud* (2005).
