Harmon Killebrew
Harmon Killebrew (1936–2011) was an American professional baseball player renowned for his prodigious power. A right-handed slugger who played first base and third base, he spent most of his career with the Washington Senators/Minnesota Twins franchise, becoming the face of the Twins’ early success after the club moved to Minnesota. Killebrew was a multiple-time All-Star and led the American League in home runs on several occasions. He was named the American League Most Valuable Player in 1969. Late in his career he also played for the Kansas City Royals. Killebrew was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1984.
